Videographer, workshop assistant (2019)
Freelance contract with Media Co-op to attend their workshops with ROAR, and create a short film documenting the activities of the elderly campaigners during their 'Stay mobile, stay connected' campaign. Primary role as videographer, and producing an initial first edit.
Volunteer co-ordinator (2018)
Temporary placement with Media Co-op to work as volunteer co-ordinator and workshop assistant on a project which taught young LGBTQ+ people film-making and social media skills to produce inclusive sports content during the European Championships 2018 in Glasgow.
The campaigners produced 16 videos - including an interview with transgender cyclist Philippa York - reaching over 10,000 views. The content can be found by searching #LGBTChampions18 on social media.
Core Member (2015-2018)
As a member of the arts collective KIN - a branch of the charity Vox Liminis - I participated in collaborations with many artists to produce artworks intended to tackle the stigma faced by young people affected by the imprisonment of a family member.
These works were presented at parliament, schools and conferences for those in the industry. I represented the collective as a speaker at the 11th European Forum on the Rights of the Child in Brussels, as a guest on STV news, devised a performance for the Con(Scripted) exhibition, and contributed to works in the Breaking Ground Exhibition.
Club night (2015 - 2016)
Creative direction in collaboration with Furmaan Ahmed and Benaissa Majeri on a four part immersive club experience at the Poetry Club in Glasgow. The events intended to promote inclusivity and generate freedom of expression within the queer community, showcasing queer talents in line with the theme for each event.
